Lore Olympus v. 9

I don't know if the series is dragging on too long, but I am slowly caring less and less. Not only that, I forgot to reread book 8 before this and man I definitely had to look up what happened in that book because I forgot a lot and it made it harder to read this one. My favorite part of this series is the illustrations, they are top notch and so vibrant. I feel like we are getting closer to the end so I plan on sticking around to see it completed, I'm just losing a little steam.

Lore Olympus v. 8

One of the best in the series so far! We got the outcome of Persephone's trial and the aftermath. The ending was awesome an we're finally getting closer to Hades and Persephone getting together together. Love it! As always, the artwork is amazing as is the way Rachel Smythe updates the classic mythology to fit the story. I can't wait for the next one! 

Lore Olympus v. 7

I will keep reading this, but man are they really drawing it out! We FINALLY make it to the trial but of course it ends right as they are in the middle of it. Come on, throw me a bone! I love this series and I need more already!

Lore Olympus: Volume Six

This series is slowly trucking along and the plot is starting to reveal itself. Obviously if you've read any Greek mythology at all you know exactly what is going to happen but it is interesting to see how it plays out in this reimagined graphic novel format. The romantic tension between Hades and Persephone grows as she hides out in the Underworld from Zeus. Hera finally finds out what Apollo has over Kore, Minthe gets a bit of a backstory, and Persephone tells the truth about what happened when rage overcame her in the garden (murder - lots of murder). Fun and I eagerly await the next volume! 

Lore Olympus v. 5

The artwork is stunning and this story keeps getting more engaging. I am always so interested to see how Rachel Smythe can "modernize" ancient mythology and it's always so inventive and engaging. This slow burn between Persephone and Hades is starting to steam up. I can't wait for the next installment!

Lore Olympus Volume Four

Not my favorite installment of the series - but still good enough to keep me going. We start to learn more about Persephone's childhood and Hades motives. I like this series and the illustrations in this graphic novel are unmatched. I can't wait for the 5th one. 

Lore Olympus vol. 3

This series ages like fine wine. Even if it's been a few months since I read the previous installment - it all comes rushing back so quickly! The illustrations are downright gorgeous and the characters are so fun and catty - exactly how you would imagine Greek gods and goddesses to be. I can't wait to see where the next installment goes. It's such a slow delicious burn!

Lore Olympus vol. 2

It had been a while since I read the first volume, but it came back pretty quickly. This comic is perfect. I can't rave about it enough. I love what Rachel Smythe has done with an old Greek legend. She has brought it into the twenty first century and made it fresh and relevant. The gods and goddesses are so fleshed out and contain so many human flaws which make them relatable. The art is also amazing. It's a slow burn romance between Persephone and Hades and even though I know how it ends - I can't wait for this series to continue so I can watch it play out. 

Lore Olympus

I didn't know what to expect with this graphic novel but I was very pleasantly surprised! Greek mythology has always been full of scandal, heartache, pettiness, and raging parties. Imagine if it those shenanigans took place in modern times, and gods and demigods had access to phones and social media. Lots of fun. mainly revolves around Persephone who is new to Olympus (she was raised in the mortal realm) and Hades. They keep circling each other, but neither know how to proceed. Cute, charming, and steamy. I can't wait to see where this famous webtoon goes next. I hope all the Greek gods are covered!
